The increasing requirement for effective surface treatment techniques in multiple industries has spurred significant investigation into laser ablation. This research directly contrasts the effectiveness of pulsed laser ablation for the removal of both paint layers and rust scale from ferrous substrates. We observed that while both materials are vul
